The Joaquim Egídio's Station in a June 2003 shot, totally reconstructed and maintaining its original characteristics. Unfortunately, the rails were removed a long time. Today, it is used as a local police post and by an ambient station of the Campinas' government. (Author's photo)  TOP

Another February, 2002 picture from Joaquim Egídio's Station, showing old houses at right and the original railroad bed at left, on the grass, today a small public playground. How we can see, this place maintains the peace and the calm from the old times. Please compare this picture with other one, from 1950, and you'll see the beautiful restorations work which was executed by the TBG and by Campinas' government. (Author's photo) TOP

A metal plate, from the time of the restorations, in the J. Egídio's station, fixed behind a window. A gas duct linking  Bolivia to Brazil was buried a few meters from the station and, fortunately, this enterprise came from a private company, the TBG working together with the Campinas' government, a very rare initiative in this country.  (Author's photo)  TOP

A bricklayer working in the Joaquim Egídio's Station reconstruction, after the TBG Group and the Campinas's government jointed to redeem this historic patrimony. The architect Sandra Geraldi was helped by an old ravished collaborator, Mr. Arthur Vicentini, know by the nickname Tuza, an old inhabitant near the station and a former employee of the R.F.C. and he knew several important details of the construction. See here  a local newspaper article about the reconstruction of the station.  (Correio Popular photo)   TOP

June/2003 - A fence constructed at the side of the station, made from old railway's sleepers; how we can see, they have not, today, the same important noble functions, like yesterday. The rails and the iron posts, according to a general agreement in the city, had "an ignored destiny"...(Author's photo)  TOP

The metal bridge, at Sousas district, over the Atibaia river, a picture taken at june,2003. The overall condition is very good, but the rails was removed; the traffic, today, is open only for pedestrians. See another bridge's picture here.  (Author's photo)   TOP
